Explanation of Services
(Standard Design Services, Upgrades and Hourly
Services)
Standard Design Services
- The following design services all consist
of what is offered in our basic design policy and limitations
(above). All verbiage, copy and web page text is supplied
by the customer, as are any photos or images (unless upgrades to
standard design services are ordered).
Temp Website -
We often call
this a "Business Card Site" because we often use the business
card design to make the website. However, it is called a
"temporary website" because it is a single background website
that offers very little room for expandability. By adding
a "Contact Us Form" we are able to give the website some
practical, interactive function and we can also place important
contact, product, service, or location information within the
background. We can also add up to three addition page
buttons that will produce a pop-up style page in which addition
information can be presented.
We only recommend this
option when the money doesn't exist to create a more permanent
and expandable website so there will be some form of a
professional looking presence on the internet.
Website - All other websites
are expandable and we offer a "5 page or less," or a "15 page or
less" price option, however either are expandable by adding
additional page buttons either by adding them to the main menu
bar or to the drop down menus accessed through main menu page
buttons. We provide basic design services in order to give
our layout selections a more custom look and feel. By
adding flash upgrades these websites can provide a
cost-effective solution for an impressive and professional
presence on the internet.
Brochures and Templates - If
part of a branding package, we will design templates to match
the company design scheme. However, if we are simply
designing a template, we will then attempt to design a
professional product by relying on client feedback. Prices
cover our basic design approach and the professional placement
of copy and images submitted by the client (unless upgrades to
standard design service are ordered).
Logo -
A professional logo is
created using existing fonts, standard effects and possibly
moderate images. You would be surprised how professional a
basic logo from RightPros can look!
Company Design Scheme -
If
not part of a package, we can be hired to give a small business
a separate identity by combining colors, shapes and images in a
certain distinguishable way. With a company design scheme
in hand, we have a guideline by which all other print and web
media can then be designed. By having all company print
and web collateral match a recognizable design scheme, it is
much easier to enlarge market presence and develop rapport with
potential customers.

Design Upgrades
- Additional options for
increasing our service.
Content Development
- Some clients have
little to no company literature and there is a reason for it -
they hate writing! Therefore, we offer to help those that
are in need of web page content, ad copy or brochure material
and are either unsure of what to say or how it should be said.
For most clients, it wouldn't be cost effective for us to create
the material from scratch as we would need to spend a lot of
research time learning about their business and industry.
Therefore, we start with notes and/or rough drafts provided to
us by the client and develop the page material from there.
What Defines a Page (for pricing purposes)?
For the purposes of charging for this service, we define
a page to be: all that can be placed within a 8.5" X 11"
template, with 1" margins and with the following formatting: L&R
justified, paragraphs, 1.15" line spacing and font (12pt Times
New Roman). We drop content into our pricing grid and
round up to the nearest 1/4 page ($11.25).
Service Disclaimer: We do not claim to be
professional writers or copy writers - we simply offer to
develop content to a level comparable to former works.
Please request samples of our work before opting for this
service. The client proofs and assumes all liability for
any written copy we produce on their behalf.
Photo & Image Acquisition
- Clients are expected
to provide us with photos or images for web page or template
decor/illustration. However, clients can ask us to search
our resources to find suitable photos or images in order to
enhance templates or web pages. This price includes the
time to find three possible options and the cost to purchase the
photo/image from the third party services we use. The
price will depend on the size of the photo or image needed and
clients are bound to the intellectual property license held by
the third party.
As a General Rule
Regarding Photo Intellectual Property: So long as you
are not going to re-sell or distribute a photo, there is nothing
to worry about. However, if you are going to place the
photo or image on something to be re-sold (like t-shirts, mugs,
or other retail items), check with RightPros to see if an
extended license is required.
Full IP Release - Within all of our
basic design services, we hold the rights to the intellectual
property which the client is licensed to use for as long as the
can continue using it for the purpose it was created.
However, to make any changes to our designs or to use our
designs in any way other than the way we designed them to
function (turn a business card design into a website for
instance), clients must come to us for the work or the
permission.
Keep in mind, we are not charging true branding development
rates, but are rather providing low cost "fake it until you make
it" solutions. However, we don't wish to suppress a
client's desire to own the full rights to anything we designed
for them and will therefore release our design concept for $500.
Note: This means all templates
that have the design scheme in question.
Additional Design Submissions
- If you want to see more
concepts than come with our standard design approach we will
reset the the amount of unlimited changes within two revisions
and continue.

Website Upgrades
- Additional options for increasing
our service.
Flash Header -
We can program the header
portion of the website to become a slide show that can add
visual enhancement to the website. Flash slides can be
designed to promote specific products, services or stream
messages. In this way, flash headers create a mini
commercial and go a long way to making a website impressive!
Flash Boxes -
These work along the same lines as
flash headers, but only smaller. These are ideal to place
within web pages and can be used for: Before and After
Displays, Samples and other mini illustrations.
Content Modification & Photo Acquisition-
(see Design Upgrades)
Additional Web Pages -
If you need more pages than
came with the website, this price covers the programming to
install the page button and professionally placing your content
and single image (additional images are purchased) onto the
page.
Additional Images -
If you want to place more
images than came standard. This only covers additional
images/photos supplied to us by the client.
Additional Design Submissions -
If you want to see more
concepts than come with our standard design approach we will
reset the the amount of unlimited changes within two revisions
and continue.
Additional Download Links -
If you want to place more
files for web visitors to download than came standard.
Additional External Links -
If you want to place more
links to external websites than came standard. It is
common for people to offer recommendations (links) to other
websites that provide their web visitors with useful information
or services (that don't compete) in order to create a reason for
web visitors to return to their website.
Such links can be "affiliate links" where there may or may not
be compensation offered by the affiliate, but certainly help to
increase both traffic and search engine popularity ratings.
Note: If the affiliate link requires more
than usual link programming, additional fees may be required.
Key Word Relevancy Upgrade -
If you want us to beef up
your search engine optimization of your website, we can spend
more time adding popular key words to your meta tagging, but
also ensure that the web pages in question actually have
information relevant to the key words being used.
Search engine spiders (the programs that search websites to
place on search engines) are programmed to find websites that
will offer searchers what they are looking for. They do
this by first locating meta-tag files containing the key words
and then by reading the actual page content to ensure it has the
information.
Many amateur web designers often fill their meta-tag files with
key words that have nothing to do with the content on the pages,
hoping to get more traffic to their website. for instance,
they might insert "car insurance" into their meta-tag file for a
page that simply sells cars. Spiders will notice this and
reject the website (as search engines like Google desire to
present accurate websites to their customers looking for
specific websites).

Special Products &
Services
Package Reservation
(Lay-Away-Plan) - If you want to "reserve" a package or special,
you can do so by making a non refundable $50.00 deposit.
This will reserve our package price for 30 days and will go
toward the purchase price of the package or special.
However, we are not able to secure printing specials as they may
be determined by our printing wholesaler. If you are
unable to complete the package purchase within 30 days, or
change your mind, we will allow you to apply the deposit toward
any other RightPros product or service!
VIP Printing Passes (6 or 12 Month) - We have a special
price menu for VIPs that we purchase from our printing
wholesaler. The price savings are so substantial that they
are often redeemed in a single printing order!

Hourly Services
For any services (or
level of service) that is not covered by our set-prices, we
charge $50 per hour. However, graphic design is not an
exact science and requires the use of labor that must be billed
for. Our goal is to be as exact in our estimates and as
efficient with our time as possible - we want our clients to be
satisfied. However, because of the nature of our industry,
we cannot offer refunds or guarantees of any kind.
Hourly Payment
Terms: We estimate the time that the project will
require and the client can choose the amount of hours they wish
to pre-pay. The more hours that are pre-paid in advance,
the better the discount. However, unused hours become
credits that can be used at anytime by the client in the future
(they do not expire, unless we do).
We will work until the project is finished or the hours are used
up (whichever happens first). If the project isn't
completed within the hours pre-paid, we will offer another
estimate for the time we feel is remaining. If that time
is under 5 hours, we will continue working without another
payment (until completed). When we finish, we will bill
for the hours that were unpaid at the best rate the client
received from the first pre-payment. If there is more than
5 hours left, the client again may choose the amount they wish
to pre-pay. |
